Jeffrey James Lashoones, Sr.: Loris

    Jeffrey James Lashoones, Sr. of Loris passed away Sunday, June 16 at his home following a long illness. He was 65.
      Born on Sept. 15, 1947 in Great Barrington, Mass., he was the son of Ralph S. Pepino and Mildred Tucker Pepino. 
    Mr. Lashoones served his country with honor and courage in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 10804, an active member of the American Legion Post 186 and a member of American Legion Riders all of Little River.
    Survivors include his spouse, Mariellen Lashoones of the home; sons, Jeffrey James Lashoones, Jr. of Canaan, Conn., Justen Erick Lashoones of Falls Village, Conn., and Clayton Andrew Lashoones of Longs; daughters, Brenda Leigh Haywood of Lee, Mass., Elly Louise Roraback of Falls Village, Conn., Christina Lynne Race of Lancaster, SC and Amber Lynn Lashoones of Longs; and nine loving grandchildren.
    In addition to his parents, Mr. Lashoones was predeceased by his sister Janice Schneider.
    All are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Little River Diner.
