William Henry Stevens: Tabor City
1923 – 2017
William “Bill” Henry Stevens of Tabor City, died Saturday, June 17, in McLeod Seacoast, Little River. He was 93.
Born Dec. 11, 1923 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Harvey Dewey and Frances Jones Stevens. He was a member of Tabor City Baptist Church and a Master Mason of Tabor Lodge #563.
He is survived by his wife, Eunice McDowell Stevens of the home; one daughter, Julie Stevens of Wilmington; and one son, Jeff Stevens of Atlanta, Georgia.
He was predeceased by one sister, Madge Hardee; four brothers, H.D. Stevens, Jr., Vernon Stevens, Bermey Stevens and Wayne Stevens.
Funeral services were planned for noon Monday, June 19, in Tabor City Baptist Church, with burial following in Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City.
Visitation was planned during the hour prior to the service in Tabor City Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Helping Hands Ministry at Tabor City Baptist Church, 200 Live Oak Street, Tabor City, NC 28463.
