Alma Todd Mishoe: Loris
1925 – 2017
Alma Todd Mishoe of Loris passed away on Wednesday, June 21 at Hope Arbor Assisted Living in Loris following an illness. She was 91.
Born Sept. 18, 1925 in Loris, she was the daughter of the late John Pinkney Todd and the late Sarah Frances Lee Todd. Mrs. Mishoe was a retired elementary school teacher, a longtime member of Beulah Baptist Church and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her son, J. Wayne Mishoe of Gainesville, Florida; three grandchildren, Jason Mishoe and wife, Leann of Boston, Massachusets, Kevin Paul Mishoe of Gainesville, Florida, and Lauren Mishoe of Fairbanks, Alaska; two great-grandchildren; Paul and Lily Mishoe both of Gainesville, Florida; daughter-in-law, Bobbie Jean Mishoe of Lancaster; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Gore and husband, Royce of Tabor City, and Arlo Mishoe of Loris; two brothers-in-law, Bill Wansley of Columbia, and Thelton Mishoe and wife, Emily of Winter Haven, Florida and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mishoe was predeceased by her husband, Clifford Horry Mishoe, one son, Clifford Lyle Mishoe; daughter-in-law, Nancy Ann Priddy Mishoe; two brothers, John Pinkney Todd, Jr. and Roy Todd and her four sisters, Esther Harrelson, Velma Todd Cooke, Dalma Martin and Eula Mae Prince.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 24 at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Thelton Powell officiating. Committal services were private.
