Sheila Barfield Baxter: Tabor City

1949 – 2018

     Sheila Barfield Baxter of Tabor City died Saturday, Feb. 3, in her home. She was 68.

     Born in Marion County, she was the daughter of late Harvey L. Barfield Sr. and Lula Virginia Norton Barfield.

     She is survived by her husband, Spencer Baxter of Tabor City; a sister, Trena Edgerton of Florence; and a brother, Harvey L. Barfield Jr. of Tabor City.

     In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by infant son Lemuel Spencer Baxter; and a sister, Barbara Carter.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City, with burial following in Miller’s United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3635 Gilchrist Road, Mullins.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service in the chapel.
