James Allard Jernigan, Jr.: Conway

James Allard “Junior” Jernigan of Conway passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on March 4 after a decades-long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was 87.
Born Dec. 11, 1938, in Tabor City, he was the son of the late Allard and Flossie McMillan Jernigan.
Mr. Jernigan is survived by his wife of almost 67 years, Ann Jernigan; one daughter, Donna Jernigan; two granddaughters, Ashleigh Mays (Nick) and Rikki Palmer; and a sister, Martha Bernhard of Wisconsin.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Anne Wright and Kaye Lovings.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
