Josephine Norris Soles: Whiteville

1936 – 2017

    Josephine Norris Soles of Whiteville died Friday, Feb. 17, in Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter in Whiteville. She was 80.
    She was the daughter of the late Romi Norris and Essie Ovelia Norris .
    Survivors include her daughters, Clara Cartrette of Chadbourn, Angela Rice of Whiteville, Dorothy Soles of Whiteville and Rebecca Soles of Whiteville; sisters Kathy Hoss and Ann Billa, both of Chicago, Illinois; brothers Burrough Cartrette of Chicago, Illinois and David Cartrette of Rock Hill; and two grandchildren.
    A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, in Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City. Rev. Ray Cartrette officiated.
