Roger Dale Jordan: Loris

1949 – 2017

     Roger Dale Jordan of Loris passed away on Wednesday, March 29 at McLeod Loris hospital. He was 67.
     Mr. Jordan was born on Sept. 6, 1949 in Conway, son of the late H. B. Jordan and the late Roechell Burnette Jordan.
     Affectionately known as “Wild Man Jordan”, he enjoyed softball when he was able, was a third degree black belt in Karate and was passionate about hunting and fishing. Mr. Jordan worked in construction until his retirement and was a member of Cane Branch Baptist Church.
     Survivors include his loving wife, Vivian Tyler Jordan of the home; one son, Rondale Jordan and wife, Susan of Loris; two daughters, Ginger Jordan Cribb and husband, Jason of Clarendon, and Jill Jordan Hatchell and husband, Davey of Conway; six grandchildren, Raegan Jordan, Riley Jordan, Jordan Cribb, Sadie Grace Cribb, Jaslynn Cribb and Dawson Hatchell; three brothers, Horace Jordan and wife, Marjorie of Conway, Billy Jordan and wife, Wanda and Jerry Jordan and wife, Sandra all of Loris, and three sisters, Hilda Edge and husband, Joe and Maxine Tyler and husband, Mitchell all of Conway, and Betty Edge and husband, Charles of Loris.
     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 31 at Hardwick Funeral Home, Loris.
     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at Cane Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Jon Johnson and Reverend Tyler Caines officiating, committal services following at Cane Branch Cemetery.
     Memorials may be made to the Cane Branch Baptist Church, 760 Cane Branch Road, Loris, SC 29569.
