Alberta L. Johnson: Loris

1916 – 2017

     Alberta L. Johnson of Loris passed away Saturday April 22, at her residence. She was 100.?
    Mrs. Johnson was born Aug. 14, 1916, a daughter of the late Gorum Simon and Lula Martin Lewis. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Loris Chapter #106.
     Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, John Gary Johnson; four sons, Carlyle, LG, Laverne, and Earl Johnson; one daughter, Doris Johnson; six brothers, Jim, Bill, Simon, Wesley, Ike, and Henry Lewis; and one sister, Estelline Collins.?
    Surviving are three children, Junior Johnson of Aynor, Sarah Johnson of Loris, and Woody Johnson of Tabor City; 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren.?
    Funeral services, with Eastern Star Rites, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 23, at Goldfinch Funeral Home Loris Chapel with Rev. Paul Alford and Speaker Robert Ellis Brown officiating. Burial followed in Bayboro Baptist Church Cemetery.?
