Roland Turbeville: Tabor City

1937 – 2017

     Roland Turbeville of Tabor City died Wednesday, April 26, in Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center in Wilmington. He was 80.
     Born Feb. 16, 1937 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Willie and Allie Fowler Turbeville.
     He is survived by one nephew, Steve Barnes and one niece: Michelle Smith.
     In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters: Genice Barnes, Betty Shirley; one nephew: Mike Barnes; and one niece, Shirley Ann Dew.
     Mr. Turbeville was a Veteran of the United States Navy.
     A graveside service was planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, in Oak Dale Cemetery, Loris.
